Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy Everything To All
Happy New Year

The 2020 holiday season is unlike any other. This picture is of my 2019 Christmas trees. Being home alone I decided not to bring the trees in. I did bring in a few decorations, especially the Nativity scenes, to keep my spirits up. Jean, my daughter, did come down for Christmas. It was so wonderful to see her, but we had to be careful.
The DAR Holiday Tea, the Los Angeles Computer Society Holiday Meeting, and the UCLA Retirees' party were all virtual. I have learned a lot by setting up and attending Zoom meetings and Webinars.
My church has set up parking lot Masses which are also on Zoom. So I'm able to attend in my car, but listen to the readings, homily, and singing on my phone. Holy Communion is distributed through car windows. In the picture below, note the outdoor Advent Wreath. We have many talented and dedicated people in our parish.

I helped my neighbors set up luminarias. We put sand and votive cups with candles in paper bags. We lit them on Christmas eve and Christmas Day at sunset.
